I don’t know about you, but I love listening to music late at night, preferably at a high volume. Out of a mutual admiration for the deep, dirty, sexy and soulful sounds, DJ heyLove* and I are getting together to share an evening of lounging, dance and movement with the good folks at Mua Oakland. We’ll be setting the vibe on First Fridays beginning June 2010. Sounds like Garth Trinidad, Benji B, Gilles Peterson with a decidedly Oakland slant. Like KRS says “If you ain’t doing this for love, then what are you doing it for ?”
